SUSTAINABILITY
at the heart of what we do
For us, sustainability begins with making things worth keeping. We believe in restoring what can be saved, creating furniture built to be reupholstered with time, and using the finest natural materials wherever possible.
From giving antique seating a new lease of life to creating new bespoke pieces using time-honoured techniques, our aim is always the same: to make furniture that lasts, rather than furniture that needs replacing.
Based on the edge of Dartmoor, we are deeply conscious of the materials we use, the waste we create and the choices we make. We are not perfect, but we are always looking for ways to do better, thoughtfully, responsibly and with care.
Restore what can be saved. Make what will last.

HONEST MATERIALS. HERITAGE CRAFT. LASTING FURNITURE.
We make furniture with a sense of permanence. Using time-honoured techniques, natural materials and an uncompromising attention to detail, each piece is built to become part of your home for generations to come.

NATURAL MATERIALS
Surrounded by the wild beauty of Dartmoor, Devon, we have always felt a strong connection to the natural world. This is reflected in our choice of fillings. The finest hair, coconut fibre, wool, jute, cotton, feather and down, selected for their exceptional comfort, resilience and longevity.
We deliberately choose not to work with synthetic foams, favouring natural fibres that soften, settle and develop character beautifully with time.
Where possible, we recommend fabrics containing 75% or more natural fibres, helping to reduce the need for chemically treated fabrics.
Every piece of furniture is made to order, so we only make what is needed. Before fabric is ordered, we carefully calculate the quantity required, helping us minimise waste from the outset.
Any fabric offcuts, fabric tubes and small pieces of natural fillings such as wool and coconut fibre are donated to local schools for arts and crafts, while our packaging is reused or recycled wherever possible.
Our natural fillings are biodegradable and, where appropriate, can be composted or recycled, helping to avoid unnecessary landfill.
Above all, we believe the best way to reduce waste is to make furniture that lasts. Our aim is for every piece to be lived with, loved and passed down for generations.
Use less. Waste less. Make it last.

MINDFUL MAKING

BUILT TO LAST
For years, we have worked with antiques, drawing on our extensive knowledge of traditional construction, materials and restoration. Our passion for the craft has given us the privilege of seeing first hand how time-honoured techniques truly stand the test of time, allowing beautifully made furniture to be restored, cherished and passed down through generations.
We wanted to use this knowledge to create our own exceptionally made furniture, keeping heritage craft alive and creating future heirlooms. Our pieces are made to be cared for, reupholstered and loved for generations.
One sofa at a time, we want to make a difference.
We believe there is something rather special about furniture that has already lived a life.
Our collection of antique seating is carefully selected and, where necessary, restored to an exceptional standard using traditional techniques and natural fibres. Rather than replacing what has stood the test of time, we give these beautiful pieces a new lease of life, ready to be loved for generations to come.
Invest in quality. Buy once. Keep it forever.

ANTIQUE SEATING

REUPHOLSTERY
Sometimes the most sustainable piece of furniture is the one you already own.
Our reupholstery service gives much loved sofas and chairs a new lease of life, restoring their comfort, beauty and purpose rather than allowing them to be discarded and replaced. With the right care, a well-made piece can continue to evolve with you for generations.
Reupholstery keeps good furniture in use for longer, preserving the craftsmanship and materials already there.
Restore. Reimagine. Reuse.
