This beautifully crafted English Victorian armchair has been meticulously restored from the frame up, using time-honoured upholstery techniques and only natural, high-quality materials. Every stage of the restoration has been carried out by hand to ensure authenticity, durability, and long-lasting comfort.

The back and seat feature hand-lashed coil springs, providing exceptional support and resilience. These are built up with layers of hand-teased horsehair and coconut fibre, shaped and secured with hand-sewn rolled edges—a hallmark of true traditional upholstery. This method not only preserves the chair’s historic integrity but ensures it will stand the test of time for generations to come.

The arms will be topped with an additional layer of hair and wool, after which the chair will be ready for your choice of top-cover fabric.
